Editorial Policy & Sources
Our aim is to help gig workers compare earnings after costs using their own records. A useful estimate states its assumptions and limitations.
Source standards
Tax and local pay-rule figures link to government sources where available. Platform earnings benchmarks identify the source and data year. We distinguish national sample observations from local wages, active trip time from online time, and legal pay floors from typical earnings.
Hypothetical examples
Default fuel prices, mileage and work schedules are editable examples. They are not verified averages for your vehicle, city or platform. City pay fields start blank so a guessed local wage is not presented as fact.
Updates and corrections
Content review dates apply to the stated sources and assumptions, not a promise of continuous monitoring. Changes to shared calculations should be checked against reproducible scenarios before release. Material changes should be explained in the release notes, and unsupported claims removed or qualified.
Commercial relationships
Sponsored and affiliate placements must identify the relationship beside the recommendation. We do not fabricate reviews, testimonials, ratings, credentials or product-testing experience. Buying a service is optional; the calculators remain usable without following commercial links.
Scope of expertise
GigPayCalc is an educational tool, not a tax preparer or a legal adviser. No professional certification or independent audit is claimed. See our methodology and model limits before relying on an estimate.
